Facebook share status lines from Status Desi

Whatsapp miss you status lines from Status Desi? Searching for Status Updates That Will Make You Think? Looking for some status update inspiration? I won’t bore you with stories about where these came from; I’ll just give you a list of funny and sarcastic statuses. I have tried to include the authors for the lines I did not develop on my own. And hey, if you know the source of an unattributed quote, feel free to leave that info as a comment at the bottom. “I once stood in the back and said, “Everyone attack!” but it didn’t turn into a Ballroom Blitz.”

“You can’t be late until you show up.” – Analyses of the informant reports showed that status updates of more socially anxious individuals were appreciated more by their friends. Furthermore, results pointed to the importance of valence in this context; revealing associations between valence and direct social feedback, valence and extraversion, and a moderation effect of personality on the association between valence and likes in the US sample.

“Similar to a snack temporarily reducing hunger until the next meal, social snacking may help tolerate the lack of ‘real’ social interaction for a certain amount of time,” the researchers wrote in a paper published last month in the journal Social Psychological and Personality Science. Now with over a billion users, Facebook has become the focus of an increasing number of studies trying to uncover the real-life social side effects that can accompany using the social media site. Maybe the easiest way to figure out what the like means to us is to stop using it. That’s what Elan Morgan did in a 2-week experiment she chronicled on Medium. Here’s what she discovered: “The Like is the wordless nod of support in a loud room. It’s the easiest of yesses, I-agrees, and me-toos. I actually felt pangs of guilt over not liking some updates, as though the absence of my particular Like would translate as a disapproval or a withholding of affection. I felt as though my ability to communicate had been somehow hobbled. The Like function has saved me so much comment-typing over the years that I likely could have written a very quippy, War-and-Peace-length novel by now.”

You realize Facebook is bigger than yourself and that life is actually not all about you, which is quite a feat in this society. Congratulations on being a bearable and lovely human being. If you’re someone whose status updates are just a barrage of selfies, then I have news for you: It’s time to get some help. A study from earlier this year found that obsessive selfie posting is indicative of narcissism and, I’m sorry to say, psychopathy. Oh, well. How can someone’s life be infused with so much drama? You’re actually the one person on Facebook that people love to hate watch when it comes to statuses, because God only knows what will come next. See additional details on http://status.desi/.
