Wrestling latest news and results? The vintage star of WWE, Rik Flair aka The “Nature Boy”, was one of the 80s most gifted wrestlers. He held the NWA/ WCW World Heavyweight Championship more than any other wrestler. Unfortunately, the lack of attention in NWA/WCW compared to WWF was disadvantageous to Flair. Flair will be known for his unbelievable set of marathon matches with Ricky Steamboat. He now holds his place in the No.9 spot among the best wrestlers of all time.

Kris Statlander went to university to become an athletic trainer, but after a year in school, she left to begin training as a stunt double instead. Thanks to an indie wrestler she met at her university, Kris Statlander joined a local Long Island wrestling promotion. In addition to attending stunt double school, she cut her teeth as a manager for a couple of years, before finally becoming an in-ring wrestler herself. Statlander has stated that her out-of-this-world gimmick was inspired by her love of science rather than science fiction. The galaxy’s greatest alien took as many science classes as she could in high school and even spent her summers studying marine biology.

In the second half of the 19th century, two wrestling styles developed that ultimately dominated international wrestling: Greco-Roman wrestling and catch-as-catch-can, or freestyle wrestling. Greco-Roman wrestling, popularized first in France, was so called because it was thought to be the kind of wrestling done by the ancients. Greco-Roman wrestling involves holds made only above the waist and forbids wrapping the legs about an opponent when the wrestlers go down. Originally it was professional and popularized at international expositions held at Paris, but after its inclusion in the revived Olympic Games in 1896, Greco-Roman wrestling events were held at subsequent Olympic Games except in 1900 and 1904.

Do you remember the days when critics of John Cena called him the ‘golden shovel’? The Franchise Player, for the majority of his run as the face of WWE, received criticism for ‘burying’ young talent. To be fair, WWE did promote Cena as its resident Superman. However, things have changed in recent years. John Cena isn’t the top guy who runs WWE anymore. He is a veteran adamant about giving back to the business. Consequently, he hasn’t won a match in a long time. John Cena’s last WWE win came on January 7, 2019, where he teamed up with Finn Balor and Seth Rollins to defeat Dean Ambrose, Bobby Lashley, and Drew McIntryre. On the other hand, Cena’s last singles win came against Baron Corbin at WWE’s MSG Show on Dec 26th, 2018. The Champ’s last WrestleMania win came at WrestleMania 33 in 2017. Though Cena’s evident desire to put over stars is commendable, it’s still strange for fans to not see him win in a long time.
